Miss Rebecca Jarvis

Rebecca started dancing at the tender age of 3 with Ballet and Modern. At the age of 7 she expanded her dance forms to Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence & Classical, which is where her love to dance began. Rebecca became North West Champion at age 8 and went on to winning 8 medallist championships before becoming Nationwide champion at 12. Rebecca continued competing in opens and travelling all over the UK for lessons and competitions.

At 17, she started as a trainee teacher and went on to becoming a fully qualified Dance instructor by her early 20s. Rebecca is trained in Freestyle, Hiphop, Street Dance, Cheerleading, Ballroom, Latin American, Salsa, Rock n Roll, Sequence, Classical, Contemporary and Slow Dance. And since September 2010 is now a fully licensed and qualified Zumba and Zumbatomic Instructor. She is qualified in both the UKA and IDTA and an adjudicator for the BDC and ADFP. Rebecca is also a Qualified First Aider.

Having been a dance teacher for almost 10 years, she decided to follow her dreams and open her own school, and so Pure Dance Academy was born. The school opened in 2011 and Rebecca was nominated for The One Oldham Business Awards, making the final for both Young Entrepreneur and Start up Buiness. She was overwhelmed when the school won the award for Start up Business of the Year 2011.

With Pure Dance Academy, Rebecca is able to provide a wider range of classes and lessons for the Greater Manchester area and has a great team of professionals teaching along side her.  The school specialises in all types of styles both socially and competitively, taking students as young as 6 months, to children, right the way through to adults.  Rebecca aims to offer a fun atmosphere where students can use their creativity through dance and performance.

As well as teaching Rebecca believes that it is important for classes to keep up with the latest styles and trends so to keep up with such a quick moving industry Rebecca takes part in regular courses and lessons. Recently Rebecca has become a Boogie Bounce Xtreme Instuctor and will be offering a full range of classes for 2015.

The school has a large amount of Freestyle competitors and in November 2013 her Freestyle teams went on to winning the European Championships, IDTA North West and Nationwide Championships. More recently in 2014 they won the British and Nationwide Championships. This was an extremely proud moment for her and the school and she would like to thank all the teachers, students, parents and staff for your continued loyalty and support.
